A Million Thanks!

Whoa - We did it! Another festival, gone in a flash. With the help of some favourable weather and a truly delightful audience, Hillside 2010 was a success! A hearty "Thank You" to all of the performers, presenters, and patrons who helped make the event such a delight. And of course, the festival could not operate without the hard work of a thousand dedicated volunteers. For that, we thank you.

And finally we would like to extend our sincerest thanks to all of the positive feedback that we have been receiving about this year's festival. Keep it coming! Tickets for this event will go on sale Saturday, May 1st, 2010 at 10am here in the Hillside office (tickets will only be sold in the Hillside office on May 1st and will not be available in the office at any other date),  at Ground Floor Music in Guelph, Encore Records in Kitchener and at Soundscapes in Toronto.  They are also available on-line at ticketpro.ca

Policies & FAQs

• Tickets are nonrefundable.
• Hillside is not responsible for lost, stolen or misplaced tickets.
• Ticket prices do not include parking or camping.

 

 

Things to bring with you to Hillside:

• Re-usable Water Bottles.  We will be offering free drinking water to our Patrons and Volunteers
• Sunscreen
• Rain Gear - Hillside happens rain or shine!
• Your own dishes.  Our team of dedicated volunteers will wash your dishes for you.
• A Hillside Mug - we only serve beer in a Hillside Mug.  Bring your own or buy one at the festival.
• Blankets or chairs.  Please bring low lawn chairs, so everyone can see the performances.

Please do not bring alcohol into the festival. No dogs are allowed on-site, with the exception of service dogs.

With 5 stages of music happening all day, there is always something for everyone.

Media Accreditation

The 27^th annual Hillside Festival will be taking place from Friday, July 23rd  through to Sunday July 25th, 2010 at Guelph Lake Island.

Individuals or organizations wishing to apply for Media Accreditation for the event are asked to do so by fax only.  There is a limited number of passes available.

Please submit an application on your company letterhead indicating why you would like to cover the event, number of passes required, the organization you're representing and any other pertinent information you feel we should know.

Applications can be faxed to 519.763.9514 Attention Artistic Director/Event Assistant.  The deadline for applications is Friday, July 2nd, 2010 by 5:00pm.

Applicants that are accepted will be notified via e-mail by Friday, July 9^th, 2010 by 5:00pm.

One of Canada's Great Summer Music Experiences

Hillside began in 1984 as local gathering of musical friends in Guelph, Ontario. Today, it is one of Canada's best-loved music festivals with over 50 musical performances on five stages over three days during the last weekend in July.

Held at Guelph Lake conservation area on an "island" connected to the mainland by a narrow causeway, the festival is anchored by the Hillside Community permanent main stage, a dramatic outdoor performance space with a living roof and gracefully arched acoustical wooden ceiling.

Hillside is renowned for its artistic lineup, a flavourful blend of up-and-coming Canadian performers, world artists, and local talent. The program is always richly diverse and highly entertaining.

While music is the focus, the Hillside experience also includes:
